Terms of use

The rules for using chance and the risks you accept by playing.

About these terms

These terms apply to your use of chance ("the site"), including the website and the Solana program it lets you interact with. By connecting a wallet or joining a round you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Who can play

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.
  • You may only play where taking part in games of chance with digital assets is lawful for you. It is your responsibility to check and follow the laws that apply to you.
  • You must not use the site on behalf of anyone who is not allowed to use it.

How the game works

Each round pools deposits from its players. When the round closes, a winner is drawn using verifiable randomness and receives the pot minus a fee, as described in the FAQ and on How fairness works. Your chance of winning equals your share of the pot. Most players in any round lose their deposit.

Fees

A fee is taken from each drawn round. The rate is set on-chain and fixed for a round when it opens, so it can't change while your SOL is in the pot. Fees are intended to be used to buy back and burn the $JACKPOT token, as described in the FAQ. Network fees and any refundable storage deposits are charged by Solana and are separate from the game fee.

Custody

The site never takes custody of your funds. Deposits are held by the game's Solana program, which only releases them as its code allows: the prize to the winner, the fee to the treasury, or refunds for cancelled rounds. The operators can't move a pot any other way. You keep sole control of your wallet.

Risks you accept

  • Smart contracts and randomness oracles can contain bugs or fail. A failure could delay a round, cancel it, or in the worst case cause a loss of funds.
  • The game's program can be upgraded by its operator, for example to fix a bug. An upgrade could change how the game behaves; every upgrade is public on-chain.
  • Solana itself can be congested, change, or go offline, and transactions can fail or arrive late.
  • The value of SOL and other digital assets can change sharply.

Your wallet and security

You are responsible for your wallet, its keys and recovery phrase, and every transaction you sign. Nobody from the site will ever ask for your recovery phrase. Transactions on Solana are final and can't be reversed.

No guarantees

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Nothing on it is financial, legal or tax advice. To the extent the law allows, the operators are not liable for losses arising from your use of the site, including losses from deposits, bugs, outages or third-party services such as wallets, RPC providers and oracles.

Acceptable use

Don't attempt to exploit, disrupt or overload the site or its program, and don't use it for money laundering or any other unlawful purpose. Access to the website may be limited or withdrawn for anyone who breaks these terms.

Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version.
